The EVE and EVA are two different neonatology ventilators that are very similar in name. We are often asked whether they are actually similar in function. Simply put: yes. They are very similar. Of course, there are also a number of differences. We would be happy to discuss these differences with you.
Stationary and mobile use
The biggest difference is that the EVA Neo is intended for purely stationary use within the hospital, and the EVE Neo for use inside and outside the hospital. For this reason, the EVA Neo is larger in size and stands on a sturdy trolley. This makes it a good replacement for the ventilator that remains in the department. The EVE Neo is more compact, easily detachable and can even be carried by the handle. More importantly, the EVE Neo is certified for external transport ventilation in the ambulance.

Control panel
Another difference is the control panel. In the department, it is often preferable to have a large touchscreen for the operating interface. The EVA Neo is equipped with this. During transport, space saving is more important. The EVE Neo therefore has a smaller control screen, on which all important information is of course visible.
Alarming and PDMS
Another detail is the possibility of data communication. With the EVA Neo, these connections are directly on the device. Connection to alarming or PDMS is not always required for transport ventilation. If you want to connect the EVE Neo, this is done via the docking station where the connections are located.

The similarities
And what are the EVE and EVA both good at? Both devices are equipped with a built-in turbine that generates its own compressed air. They are both 3-in-1 ventilators for neonatology and pediatrics: from extensive invasive ventilation, CPAP to High Flow. All hose connections are similar and can be found unambiguously on the right side of the device. Both devices can simply be used with different brands of ventilation hoses.
In summary: the devices are quite similar internally and are more suitable for stationary or mobile use externally.
