Features of the RaySafe X2 Base unit

The RaySafe X2 Base unit

The RaySafe X2 Base unit makes X-ray measurements fast, reliable, and practical with autotrigger, storage, analysis, and linking via RaySafe View.

The RaySafe X2 Base unit

Medical X-ray machines are an essential part of the imaging process within hospital and dental care. This equipment is intensively checked and maintained. Measurements and checks are performed daily to ensure that the imaging equipment is in good condition. These measurements must be accurate. Time and practical use are important factors. Below we describe some features that play a role in this.

The RaySafe X2 works in 4 steps:

  1. Turn on the unit
  2. Connect the sensor
  3. Position the sensor
  4. “Expose”

Switching on and connecting

The RaySafe X2 Base unit is designed for optimal and effective measurement. When switching on and connecting the sensor, the device always performs a self-test. The Base unit checks the properties and functionality of the sensor. For example, if the temperature of the sensor is too low, the device will indicate this. The Base unit immediately recognizes the sensor and displays the corresponding parameters on the screen.

Positioning and “expose”

As soon as you have positioned the sensor correctly, you can activate the X-ray machine. The RaySafe X2 works on the basis of autotrigger and is activated immediately upon detection of radiation. The measurement data is immediately displayed on the Base unit. This allows you to read and check the measured values at a glance. When you use the R/F sensor, the Base unit displays the 12 parameters in one overview on the screen. If you want to view a parameter in more detail, you can open the waveform of the relevant parameter with one swipe.

Storage

This streamlined method of measurement prevents measurements from having to be carried out again or in several steps, thus optimizing the process. All information is recorded in one measurement. You can find the measurements you have performed at any time. The device remembers up to approximately 10,000 measurements, including any notes you have entered with the measurement.

Processing measurements

Do you want to further process the measured data? Then use the RaySafe View software. You connect the Base unit to a laptop or PC. When you take a remote measurement, you can also read real-time measured values with RaySafe View. All measurements can also be analyzed and exported to a spreadsheet for more in-depth processing.

Fully charged, you can use the device intensively throughout the working day. All these properties of the RaySafe X2 Base unit contribute to an effective method of properly checking X-ray machines and reduce the risk of incorrect measurements.
