The TwinStream™ with tubeless jet ventilation (SHFJV®) from Carl Reiner is unique. It allows you to ventilate your patient via the ENT laryngoscope or pulmonology bronchoscope. The device consists of two separately or simultaneously operating ventilation units. During "Superimposed High Frequency Jet Ventilation", ventilation takes place simultaneously with normal frequency and high frequency with the possibility of pressure and gas monitoring. As a result, with the TwinStream™ in an open system, you can ventilate with two pressure levels at all times. This efficiently regulates both oxygenation and CO2 removal.
TwinStream™ is ideally suited for microlarynx and laser surgery, tracheal stents, rigid bronchoscopy and many more applications because the work of the surgeon or ENT doctor is not hindered by a tube or jet catheter with SHFJV®.
The SHFJV® method can also be used in combination with a jet catheter. While it is often very pleasant to be able to operate without a tube, there are also indications such as open tracheal resections or carina resections where a jet catheter is required. Specific single and double channel Jet catheters have been developed for this purpose.
