The mechanical fetal heart is designed to test whether a cardiotocography (CTG) is functioning properly. The mechanical fetal heart simulates a heart rate of 30 to 240 BPM. The mechanical fetal heart can be connected to all ECG simulators. All Fluke Biomedical patient simulators are suitable for this purpose, such as the ProSim 8.
In addition, the device is very user-friendly. It runs on two AA batteries. When these are low, a flashing LED light can be seen in the bottom right corner well in advance. In the bottom left corner, the LED light flashes to the rhythm of the simulated heartbeat. The dimensions of the mechanical fetal heart are 180 x 50 x 40 x 30 mm and it weighs 218 grams with batteries.
The mechanical fetal heart complies with FCC part 15, IEC 61010-1 and 61326-1 standards.
