To optimize the measurement of SpO2 in newborns, fixing the sensor is often desired. The Wrappy fixation strap from Human Protection is a very good tool for this.
These multifunctional fixation straps can hold sensors in place without using tape, for example. The sensors also prevent ambient light from falling on the sensor, which could disrupt the measurement. The Wrappy can be used to fix the foot of newborns as well as the foot, toe or finger of a slightly larger child.
The inner lining of the Wrappy fixation strap is made of cotton that is very soft on the skin. The middle layer is made of polyurethane sponge that absorbs. The outer layer is made of sturdy synthetic polyester that is fixed with a piece of soft, rounded Velcro.
The Wrappy fixation strap is available in two sizes. The smaller size is intended for newborns. The pediatric size is for slightly larger children.
