By placing the jet converter on a tube, double lumen tube or laryngeal mask, you can realize jet ventilation in this way. A good example is lung surgery. By slightly ventilating the lung to be operated on by means of jet ventilation, you can positively influence oxygenation. It can also be very useful to ventilate the area to be operated on without too much movement.
